We now use 100% Oxo Bio-Degradable bottles for Cause H2O!
We at CAUSE Beverages continue to strive to reduce our Carbon Footprint on the Environment. Our environmental strategy is:
1. Move to bio-degradable bottles for every possible product we create. Our retailers and suppliers are BIG supporters of low environmental impact through bio-degradable products and recycling initiatives. Teaming up with such supporters keeps us on our feet and always looking for innovative ideas that help our communities AND our environment.
2. Bottle our beverages within 1000km radius. This reduces fuel consumption and keeps our products local to encourage economic growth in our communities. We’re not saying don’t enjoy the products outside our national borders, we’re just saying be mindful of the environmental impact and keep our local producers busy with our demand for high quality products.
Why do we use Spring Water?
We researched and found that Spring water was not only the safest water but also one of the cleanest that you could find. Therefore, our goal was to find the cleanest, safest and best tasting spring water that you could get your hands on. We know you chose Cause to help give back to the community but we also wanted you to spoil yourself and give back by drinking the best premium beverage on earth. We searched for a long time but finally found a spring near the Columbia Ice fields that met our rigorous guidelines.
What recycling methodolgies does Cause use to preserve our land fills?
Although bottled water is only a miniscul fraction of the plastic that is found in the land fills, we are still part of the problem. It is a mandate by Alberta Recycling that every beverage manufacturer must report the number of bottles manufactured and is cross referenced with the number of bottles returned. 100% recycled means that each bottle manufactured is recycled. Therefore Cause has ingrained this 100% recycling goal into the fabric of our organization.
How do we try to meet our 100% recycling goal?
Plastic has been used for many generations and will continue to be used in the future because of its natural ability for safe and convenient use. We believe the issue starts with you and me. I’m not sure if you’ve noticed but there is never enough recycling bins compared to garbage bins. Although it is easier to throw your plastic container into the garbage, we should stop and find a recycling bin to use. We encourage each of our retailers to have a recycling bin to collect bottles and we will continue to aggressively push the government to place many more recycling bins in areas such as gas stations, restaurants and hotels in order to preserve our landfills. We at Cause have started in our own homes and hope you can join us and strive to recycle all plastic and recyclable products so that we may extend the life of our community and our future generations.
